Engineer Update 10/21/03 Engineering Department Receives Storm Water Grant The Blackstone Engineering Department has received a grant from the Crossroads Community Foundation in the amount of $23,000. A portion of the grant money has been used to purchase global positioning system (GPS) equipment. The GPS equipment is being used by a Blackstone Valley Technical High School intern to locate drainage structures and prepare a storm water drainage base map for the town as required by the Federal EPA. The grant money is also funding a research team from Worcester Polytechnic Institute to evaluate opportunities for ground water recharge in town. Back to Top
