The Office of the Town Planner coordinates the Planning Board's review process, including routine and complex administrative, technical, and professional work in guiding applications through the Board's development review process. The Planner also review all applications for completeness or appropriateness and prepares comments and recommendations on site plans. Another task is to evaluate land use applications and site plans for compliance with local, state, or federal statutes with particular emphasis on Chapter 40A (The Zoning Act) and Chapter 41 (Subdivision Rules and Regulations). The Town Planner also coordinates the Board's interaction with the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Conservation Commission through the Town Administrator and works with those Boards on a more limited basis. A major part of this involves providing information on land use applications, by-laws, codes, plans, and related programs in response to inquiries. The Town Planner also assists in the development and implementation of growth management, land use, economic development, utility, housing, transportation, facilities, solid waste, or other plans and codes to meet the town's needs and any inter-governmental agreements. Lastly, the Planner prepares a variety of studies, reports, and related information for decision-making purposes that may include technical research and data collection. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Planning Board Town Documents Forms & Applications
